The Dar Hamr Emergency Room reported that the Rapid Support Forces brought foreign technical teams from Colombia to operate drones from Al-Nahud Referral Hospital in Al-Nahud, West Kordofan.
The statement, cited by Al-Tara Sudan, indicated that the RSF is using the hospital as a shield against airstrikes by the Sudanese Armed Forces.
The emergency room highlighted that this practice is part of a systematic effort by RSF to exploit the legal protection afforded to hospitals, forcibly converting them into fortified military positions and human shields, violating international humanitarian law.
An AFP investigation revealed that hundreds of former Colombian soldiers moved to Sudan to join the war in exchange for high salaries, with many killed in combat, and some accused of committing war crimes.
