Deputy Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Malik Aqaar, announced the launch of the Comprehensive National Construction and Resistance Campaign, grounded in revolutionary principles, aimed at building a new Sudan. He called on citizens to organize within neighborhoods, villages, and military units for national resistance during this critical stage. Aqaar emphasized that this is not merely a defense of territory, but a protection of Sudanese human dignity from being violated by treacherous and mercenary militias, while also safeguarding Sudan’s unity.
In a message addressed to the Sudanese people on the occasion of Christmas and the anniversary of the revolution, Aqaar warned that the recent militia mobilizations, including the so-called “Founding Alliance” and their desperate attempts with foreign allies to attack Sudanese cities, represent a new episode in a destructive project targeting national security, sovereignty, and the future of Sudanese generations.
He stated, “Sudan is not a testing ground, and our land is not available to those who believe that weapons create legitimacy or that violence establishes a state.”
Aqaar added, “To those rallying their militias and mercenaries under the Founding Alliance, and anyone contemplating harming the sanctity of Sudanese soil and the pride of its people: you have misjudged. Sudan, whose soil has been watered with the blood of martyrs through decades of struggle for freedom and dignity, will not be an easy prey for your mercenary adventures.” He emphasized that their desperate attempts to occupy Sudan will fail, as the Armed Forces, popular resistance, and supporting forces will form an impenetrable barrier against any illusions of control or expansion.
He further affirmed that resistance is a defense of justice, that steadfastness is a national duty, and that remaining on Sudanese soil expresses true sovereignty. “Our revolutionary struggle has taught us that freedom is both light and fire, and today we choose the fire of resistance to preserve the light of independence,” Aqaar said.
He reassured the Sudanese people of their ability to endure, protect their land, preserve independence, and thwart all attempts to drag the country toward the fate of failed states or externally imposed scenarios, regardless of whether they are labeled as initiatives or meetings.
