The Dar Humr Emergency Room reported a series of recent violations by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) against civilians in Wad Banda locality, West Kordofan, including kidnapping for ransom, extortion, property looting, and interference in local service institutions.
The emergency room stated that RSF members abducted an employee at the “Ariba” tower, demanding a large ransom for release. Another case involved the abduction of Nasser Ali Karam Al-Din, an auto parts trader, with his family asked to pay two billion Sudanese pounds.
RSF also reportedly seized trucks loaded with agricultural produce, detaining traders for allegedly violating “force-imposed regulations,” intending to extort money. Butchers and livestock traders were also robbed on the road linking Wad Banda and Al-Maaraka, threatening trade and food security.
The emergency room accused RSF of interfering in local education by appointing administrators and forcing teachers to work without salaries, documenting these violations as part of a recurring pattern against civilians and calling for protection measures to prevent further deterioration of security and humanitarian conditions.
