Northern State: Drone, Heavy Weapons, and Artillery Seized

The Anti-Smuggling Administration in Sudan’s Northern State, in close coordination with the security cell and the Public Prosecution, carried out a major operation resulting in the seizure of large quantities of weapons, equipment, and prohibited materials, following a raid on warehouses in the Al-Ghaba area of the state.

The seized items included a drone and its control unit, seven artillery pieces of various types, sniper rifles, pistols, and large quantities of ammunition of different calibers. Authorities also confiscated 60 B10 shells, hand grenades, weapon magazines, wireless communication devices—including Starlink equipment—large sums of foreign currency, four unregistered vehicles, and various other tools and equipment.

The forces also seized 10 barrels containing highly dangerous chemical substances—ethyl acetate and cerietol—used in illegal activities including currency counterfeiting, illicit printing operations, commercial fraud, and food adulteration, posing a direct threat to economic and public health security.
