Removal of Damaged Aircraft from Khartoum Airport Completed

Reliable aviation sector sources told Sudan Tribune on Thursday that airlines have completed the removal and evacuation of damaged aircraft from the apron at Khartoum International Airport.

The sources confirmed that all operations related to clearing damaged and destroyed aircraft from the airport grounds have been fully completed. This also included cleaning the runway of debris and war remnants, in direct coordination with Khartoum Airport management.

They noted that the removal operations were carried out in accordance with a carefully designed technical plan and approved safety procedures, ensuring the security of ground movement areas and the protection of vital airport facilities, paving the way for subsequent stages of technical assessment and rehabilitation.

This step is considered a significant indicator of the beginning of the restoration of operational discipline at the airport.
