Gedaref Governor Mohamed Ahmed Hassan instructed the preparation of camps across the state to receive mobilized personnel and rally fighters to strengthen border security with Ethiopia.
During a meeting with local leaders in Basanda, the governor emphasized the need for maximum mobilization and support for the armed forces, praising border residents as a real defensive force assisting the army in safeguarding the frontier.
This directive responds to security challenges in eastern Sudan, aiming to enhance field readiness and expand popular participation to support the armed forces, ensuring sovereignty and border stability.
