The Dar Hamar Emergency Room revealed that two young men from the Al-Karanik area in the northern countryside of Al-Nuhud locality, West Kordofan State, were abducted by a group affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces militia.
In a circular, the Emergency Room stated that the abductors demanded what it described as an exorbitant ransom—amounting to 25 billion Sudanese pounds for the release of each hostage—characterizing the act as blatant extortion of civilian citizens.
The group expressed deep concern over the safety of the abductees, citing the extensive record of violations attributed to the leader of the group responsible for the kidnapping and its members, including involvement in previous killings and extrajudicial executions within Al-Nuhud locality, allegedly carried out on ethnic grounds.
The Dar Hamar Emergency Room held the RSF militia fully responsible for the safety of the two young men and demanded their immediate and unconditional release.
