Egyptian and Greek Foreign Ministers Discuss Developments in Sudan

Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty held talks on Sunday with his Greek counterpart, Giorgos Gerapetritis, on ways to enhance the strategic relations between the two countries, as well as regional and international developments of mutual concern.

Minister Abdel Aaty briefed his Greek counterpart on the outcomes of the fifth consultative meeting to coordinate peace efforts and initiatives in Sudan, which was held in Cairo on January 14. He also outlined Egypt’s efforts within the framework of the Quartet aimed at reaching a humanitarian truce leading to a comprehensive ceasefire. Abdel Aaty reaffirmed Egypt’s firm support for Sudan’s unity, territorial integrity, sovereignty, and national institutions.
