
Diplomatic sources said that the Director of Sudan’s General Intelligence Service, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Ibrahim Mufaddal, has concluded extensive meetings in Washington and New York.
The sources told Asharq that the Sudanese intelligence chief held talks with the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and officials at the Department of Defense, focusing on counterterrorism cooperation and security coordination.
According to the same sources, both Sudan and the United States reaffirmed their rejection of any attempt to divide Sudan and stressed their refusal to recognize any parallel government.
