Al-Burhan: We Are Determined to End the Rebellion Forever and Will Not Allow Its Return

Chairman of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, affirmed that all regular forces, in their various formations, stand united with the Sudanese people to decisively end the rebellion and eliminate it.

He stressed that the state will not allow any future opportunity for renewed rebellion, warning that any leniency or negligence in this regard will be met with firmness and decisive action.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the 22nd qualifying intake of the General Intelligence Service, attended by the Service’s Director General, General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, al-Burhan praised the “heroic role” of intelligence personnel who joined what he described as the “Battle of Dignity” from its earliest moments and supported the armed forces across all combat fronts.

He commended the resilience of the General Intelligence Service and its adherence to commitments at a time when, he said, many values and covenants had collapsed, reaffirming the determination of the armed forces and other regular forces to restore security and stability throughout the country. “The rebellion is destined to be defeated,” he said.

Al-Burhan noted that the oath taken by the graduates increases their responsibility to safeguard the country’s territorial unity and protect its resources, adding that the real dangers facing the nation require the principle that security is everyone’s responsibility.

He paid tribute to Sudan’s fallen soldiers, wished a speedy recovery to the wounded, and expressed hopes for the safe return of prisoners and missing persons, stressing that their sacrifices and bravery provide the strength from which both the people and the armed forces draw to achieve victory.
