One Killed, Several Injured in Militia and SPLM-N Shelling of Dilling

A child was killed and several civilians were injured on Monday in the city of Dilling, South Kordofan State, as a result of indiscriminate shelling carried out by the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), targeting various neighborhoods of the city.

Sources from Dilling told Darfur24 that at least five civilians sustained injuries ranging from moderate to severe due to the shelling and artillery fire carried out by the RSF and SPLM-N forces the day before yesterday, coinciding with celebrations marking the entry of the Sudanese Armed Forces into the city.

The sources confirmed the killing of the child Abdullah Youssef Qidoum in the Al-Marafit neighborhood, and the injury of Al-Rashid Younis, a three-year-old child, in the Al-Malakiyya neighborhood. They also reported injuries to Abdullah Juma, a resident of Al-Turuq neighborhood, Mohamed Abdelrahman Mohamed of the same area, and Hajja Hawa, who sustained an injury to her left leg.

They added that Habiba Karamba, Halima Mohamed Suleiman (35), Tahani Krar Hamad, Qisma Tawfiq Sayed Ahmed, and Afaf Bakhit Kabashi were also injured as a result of the indiscriminate shelling.
