Al-Burhan: We Congratulate the Sudanese People on Lifting the Siege of Kadugli; Our Forces Are Advancing Toward Darfur

Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, congratulated the Sudanese people on the lifting of the siege of Kadugli, affirming that the armed forces will continue their advance until they reach the Darfur region.

Speaking to Al-Hadath TV, al-Burhan said there will be no truce or ceasefire as long as the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continue to occupy cities. He stressed that while the state responds to calls for peace, it will not compromise on the blood of Sudanese citizens.

He added: “We congratulate the Sudanese people on lifting the siege of Kadugli, and our forces will reach Darfur.”

Al-Burhan’s remarks come amid rapid field developments following advances by the armed forces along several operational axes, developments that carry significant military and political implications for the course of ongoing operations.
