Al-Burhan: We will rid the people of the rebels’ nightmare

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, praised members of the Armed Forces, other regular forces, supporting units, and all fighters in the “Battle of Dignity,” affirming that the process of eliminating the rebel militia will continue until every part of the country is fully cleared.

While addressing a ceremony honoring former Chiefs and members of the General Staff, he commended the journey of retired leaders, appreciating their contributions and pointing to their growing heroic roles and what they have offered for the pride and dignity of Sudan and its people under the extremely complex conditions of the “Battle of Dignity,” marked by siege and bombardment. He said they set remarkable examples of patience and resilience and rose to the level of responsibility and challenges.

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief confirmed that the path of giving within the Armed Forces will continue along the same line, sealed with the blood and brave sacrifices of the Sudanese people.

He stressed that there will be no negotiations with the rebels or those who support them, and that the Armed Forces are moving forward to achieve what the Sudanese people expect and to rid them of this nightmare.

For his part, Lieutenant General Yasser Abdelrahman Al-Atta, member of the Sovereignty Council and Chief of Staff, said the honorees represented symbols of heroism, courage, and bravery, standing united in the darkest circumstances, forming a solid line of defense for the nation and contributing to all the Armed Forces’ victories across the country.

The Chief of Staff pledged to complete the march of victory up to Umm Dafuq and Blue Nile, and saluted the fighters on all fronts.

The honor included former Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Mohamed Osman Al-Hussein, Lieutenant General Magdi Ibrahim Osman, Lieutenant General Engineer Khaled Abdeen Mohamed Ahmed Al-Shami, along with Lieutenant General Engineer Omar Sarr Al-Khatem, former Commander of Air Defense Forces.
