Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi held a meeting bringing together Sudan’s Sovereign Council Chairman, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and Kenyan President William Ruto, with the participation of Mali’s Transitional Military Council Chairman, General Assimi Goïta, on the sidelines of the third Russia-Africa Summit in Moscow.
The meeting took place amid strained relations between Khartoum and Nairobi, as Egypt seeks to contain the disagreements between the two countries and prevent their regional repercussions from escalating.
