Ittihad Jeddah is clinging to its chances of signing Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, during the upcoming summer Mercato.
The Jeddah Federation had previously made several attempts to resolve the Egyptian Pharaoh deal last summer, but they were not crowned with success.
According to “The Athletic” newspaper, the Jeddah Federation did not give up and is planning to make a record offer, in order to obtain the signature of the Egyptian star.
She pointed out that the Jeddah Federation is preparing a huge offer worth 235 million euros to persuade Liverpool to abandon Salah.
If the Reds agree, Salah will become the most expensive transfer deal ever in the history of football, surpassing the 222 million euros that Paris Saint-Germain paid to include Neymar in 2017.
Mohamed Salah has a contract with Liverpool until the summer of 2025, and several reports recently stated that the Reds are trying to fortify the Egyptian star with a new contract.
“The Athletic” revealed that Salah’s salary with the Jeddah Union will be 85 million euros, that is, 4 times the salary he currently receives in the English Premier League.
