Italian Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s coach, stressed his team’s readiness to face Leipzig, on Tuesday, in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.
“We are in a good moment, and we have enthusiasm and motivation, as we love this competition very much, and we must play a comprehensive match, especially on the defensive level.” Ancelotti said, during the introductory press conference for the match.
“I don’t know if this season is the best in my career, because I only lost two matches. I am very happy with this group, and we are in good condition despite the absences, thanks to the character of the team.” He added.
“If he plays as he did against Girona, he will make the difference, and he must continue.” He commented regarding his star, Vinicius Junior.
“We never think about absences and without Bellingham, we won 4 matches out of 4, and those who participated in his place performed well and he is a very important player for us.” the veteran coach replied.
“The decision he will make must be respected, and his performance since he started playing football has always been the same. The player must retire at his best moment, just like the coach.” He said.
