With 5,000 rockets… Hamas announces the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against Israel

The Commander-in-Chief of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Muhammad al-Deif, announced today, Saturday, the start of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” to put an end to “Israeli violations.”
Al-Deif said in a statement: “The first strike, which targeted the enemy’s positions, airports and military fortifications, exceeded 5,000 missiles and shells.”
He added: “It is time for all Arab and Islamic forces to unite in order to sweep the occupation away from our sanctities and our land.”
He urged the Palestinian people to “bring out their guns today, and whoever does not have a gun should bring out a knife, a cleaver, or an axe.”
He continued: “Our brothers in the Islamic resistance in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Iran: this is the day on which the fronts and banners will unite.”
The commander of the also urged Algeria, Morocco, Jordan, Egypt and the rest of the Arab countries to move and respond to the call stressing that “the time has come for the Arab resistance to unite.”
This comes after the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip fired dozens of rockets towards Israeli territory. Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced that the Palestinian Hamas movement launched, early this morning, a double operation that included launching rocket shells towards Israeli settlements, and also infiltrating members of the movement into Israeli territory.
