Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp spoke about the developments of his injured players before facing Sheffield United, scheduled for 8:30 pm today, Thursday, at Anfield, as part of the 31st round of the English Premier League.
In the press conference he held yesterday, Klopp expressed his wish for the injured to return to join the team’s matches at that crucial stage of the season.
Klopp explained that left-back Andre Robertson is ready to participate in today’s match, and Curtis Jones is close to entering the match squad after his recovery and regular group training last period.
Regarding the absences, the Liverpool coach said that the list may include Wataru Endo against Sheffield, who is in doubt after suffering an injury in the last Brighton match, and he may join the injured list.
Klopp explained that Alisson Becker, the team’s goalkeeper, is close to returning, and the same goes for Diogo Jota and Arnold, who are close to joining training next week, while the German coach confirmed that the season of Cameroonian Joel Matip, the team’s defender, has ended due to a torn cruciate ligament that he suffered last December.
