Sudan Events: Magda Hassan

The Sudan Film Institute announced the participation of two movies produced by it in the Aswan International Women’s Film Festival as part of a program dedicated to movies from Sudan. The two movies are: (Kalos Barwat), written and directed by Hajar Hassan, and (The Story of Ma’ab), written and directed by Saleh Idris Barq. The institute announced that watching these movies on regional platforms and international festivals makes them feel a great responsibility towards Sudanese cinema and what they plan to achieve in the near future. They explained that these movies were produced in extremely complex and difficult circumstances, which is a great effort by the team working on the two movies to contribute to the crystallization of their cinematic ideas and for these movies to be seen in international forums.
