South African newspapers praise Al-Ahly’s achievement

South African newspapers, on Saturday, talked about Al-Ahly Egyptian club’s achievement in qualifying for the CAF Champions League final for the fifth time in a row and the 17th in the history of the continental champion with the most Champions League title. Kick Off newspaper headlined: “Al-Ahly qualifies for the CAF Champions League final.”
“Unlike the first leg, Al-Ahly gave Bafana Bafana player Percy Tau the opportunity to play as a starter from the beginning of the match. The victory guaranteed Al-Ahly a place in the final again, and it is on its way to defending the title for the second year in a row.” The newspaper added.
While the idiskitimes newspaper wrote, under the title, “Al-Ahly reserves its place in the Champions League final, and helps Sun Downs,” and explained that Al-Ahly has become the first team in history to qualify for the CAF Champions League final five times in a row after defeating Mazembe 3-0 in Cairo on Friday evening.
“Mazembe’s exit from the African Champions League means that Sundowns qualifies for the Club World Cup through the classification process, as the Congolese giant cannot now surpass the South African champions anymore, and its victory means that Mamelodi Sundowns qualifies for the Club World Cup.” Kick Off continued.
While Kingfut newspaper published the headline, Al-Ahly scores three goals against Mazembe and qualifies for the CAF Champions League final, and said Al-Ahly scored three late goals against TP Mazembe on Friday evening to qualify for the CAF Champions League final, after a goalless draw in the first leg in the Democratic Republic of the Congo last week. Al-Ahly was looking forward to ensuring qualification.
