“Sovereign Council”: The “Wad al-Noura” Crime Reflects the Militia’s Systematic Behavior in Targeting Civilians

The Sovereign Council condemned the heinous massacre committed by the Rapid Support Forces militia, which claimed the lives of many citizens in “Wad al-Noura.”
In a statement, the Sovereign Council said, “In a heinous crime that shames humanity, the terrorist Rapid Support Forces militia committed a brutal massacre against unarmed civilians in the village of Wad al-Noura in the Al-Jazira state, which resulted in the death of many innocent citizens. This brutal crime adds to the series of crimes committed by this rebellious militia in many states of Sudan. These are criminal acts that reflect the systematic behavior of these militias in targeting civilians, looting their properties, and forcibly displacing them from their areas.”
The statement added, “The Sovereign Council, while pointing to this documented crime, calls on the international community and human rights organizations to condemn and denounce these crimes and hold the perpetrators from the terrorist Rapid Support Forces militia accountable, upholding the principle of no impunity.”
The Sovereign Council expressed its condolences for the martyrs of this massacre, asking Almighty God to accept them favorably and grant their families and loved ones patience and solace.
