Lawyer Shaaban Saeed, agent of the artist Mona Zaki, revealed that she decided to drop the criminal and civil lawsuits against the YouTuber, who is accused of directing insults and slander at her, after he apologized for what he did.
Shaaban said that the YouTuber expressed his regret and apologized for the words of insult and slander he directed at the artist, Mona Zaki, as well as members of the Acting Professions Syndicate, noting that the Economic Court had issued a ruling to imprison the accused for a month, a fine of 20,000 pounds, a bail of 5,000 pounds, and temporary civil compensation with a value of 10 thousand pounds.
He added that based on this apology and the mediation of many parties who expressed their regret for what the accused had done, and their pledge not to repeat the abuse, and out of concern for the actress Mona Zaki for the future of the accused and for his family not to be affected if he was imprisoned, Zaki decided to accept his apology, and to waive the lawsuits she had filed against him.
The accused YouTuber had directed insulting words at Mona Zaki and the Acting Professions Syndicate in light of the crisis in the film “Ashab Wala Aaz,” which exposed Mona to severe criticism because of a scene that many considered out of tradition and offensive to modesty.
