Russian Company to Establish a refinery in Port Sudan and explore gas in the Red Sea

Finance Minister Jibril Ibrahim said that he held a meeting with a Russian company to establish a refinery in Port Sudan, thermal and solar stations across the country, and explore gas in the Red Sea.
This came while participating in the Saint Petersburg conference held in Russia.
Jibril said in a post on Thursday on his account at “X” platform that he met a delegation from the Russian company Gazprom ,and tackled establishing solar and thermal energy projects across Sudan.
The Minister of Finance added, “The projects include exploring gas in the Red Sea benefiting from it in production of urea factories for the production of fertilizers.
