Gvardiol, the Croatia and Manchester City national team player, spoke about his compatriot Luka Modric, the Real Madrid midfielder, and his importance to Croatian football.
“Luka Modric? I sincerely hope this isn’t his last Grand Slam because I can see he’s still in great physical shape. I think Luka has changed the course of Croatian football in general and also the way other countries approach it. Look at our team, I think the only way to honor him and his legacy is to reach the final of Euro 2024 and win the title.” Gvardiol said.
