Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Sudan, economic expert Professor Abdel Azim Al-Mahal, warned of a further deterioration in the value of the Sudanese pound.
He put forward a series of proposals to stop the deterioration of the Sudanese pound, including the formation of a council for the Ministry of Finance of competencies and specialists by the head of State, so that the decisions of this council are binding on the Minister of Finance.
Al-Mahal affirmed the need to declare the national currency note of one thousand and five hundred pounds as non-exonerating, with the need to encourage foreign and local investors to invest in safe areas within Sudan, demanding that the government pay attention to the concerns of the people and meet their desires, and added, “There is nothing preventing negotiations to stop the Sudanese bloodshed, as people have reached the point of raising the white flag, and the government must immediately begin to solve the problem in a scientific manner, far from fanaticism and stubbornness, even if it leads to a survey to know the opinions of citizens.
