KSA Condemns ‘Genocidal Massacres’ in Gaza

Saudi Arabia has denounced the ongoing “genocidal massacres” by the Israeli forces in response to Israel’s latest attack on camps for displaced Palestinians in the southern Gaza Strip, the Kingdom’s foreign ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the continued genocidal massacres against the Palestinian people at the hands of the Israeli war machine,” it said.
The death toll in an Israeli attack on Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Saturday rose to 90 Palestinians along with 300 wounded, the Gaza health ministry said, in an attack that Israel claimed targeted Hamas’ military chief Mohammed Deif.
The Israeli strike also reportedly killed Hamas field leader, Muhammad Nahed Abu Hatab.
Gaza’s health ministry said Saturday that at least 38,443 people have been killed in the war. It added that 88,481 people had been wounded in the Gaza Strip since the war began when Hamas militants attacked Israel on October 7.
Saudi Arabia in its statement renewed calls for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and a “provision of protection of unarmed civilians in all occupied Palestinian territories.”
The Kingdom also said there was a need to activate international accountability mechanisms regarding the continued Israeli violations of international humanitarian law and resolutions.
