Australian Company Prepares for Mining in Sudan

Sudanese Minister of Minerals, Mohamed Bashir Abdullah, accompanied by the Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company ( SMRC)Limited, Mohamed Tahir Omar, was briefed on the experience of the Australian Birth Mining Company in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire.
At the end of its tour of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, the delegation visited the company’s camp in the city of Yamoussoukro to see the major mining project that the company is preparing to implement a similar project in Sudan.
The Minister of Minerals, Mohamed Bashir Abdullah, said that implementing the project in Sudan will bring about an unprecedented renaissance in the field of mining, as it is one of the pioneering projects.
The Minister thanked the management of the Australian Birth Mining Company for the warm reception and for informing the Minerals delegation about the company’s project in Côte d’Ivoire with its various units and all stages of extraction.
The delegation of the Ministry of Minerals included, in addition to the Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company ( SMRC) the Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs, the Director of the General Administration for Control and Supervision of Exploration Companies, and the Secretary of the Minister’s Office.
