Strategy to Transform the Al-Khair Port into a Regional Centre

The Director of Al-Khair Port for Petroleum Derivatives, Captain Rami Siam, revealed that the number of tankers arriving at Al-Khair Port in 2023 amounted to about 32 tankers. The total metric tons handled through them amounted to about 1,083,057 metric tons, while the number of gas tankers reached 14 tankers and the number of gasoline tankers reached 10. The number of Firenze tankers is 5, and the number of aviation fuel tankers is 2, as the design capacity of Al Khair Port is 2 million and 670 metric tons.
He stressed in press statements their endeavour to develop the Al-Khair Port to keep pace with the world through multiple foundations, plans and programmes. In addition to building warehouses inside the port, they avoid the long waiting process for ships outside the port.
He revealed the Ministry of Oil’s strategy to transform the Al-Khair Port into a regional centre for oil trade and circulation in the future.
