Two Earthquakes Recorded in the Red Sea

US Geological Survey announced, on Saturday, the recording of two strong earthquakes in the Red Sea region, near the coasts of Saudi Arabia and Sudan.
The agency said on its website that the first earthquake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale, and was about 197 km northeast of the city of Tokar, in the Sudanese Red Sea state.
As for the second earthquake, it measured 4.2 on the Richter scale, and was about 174 km northeast of the same city, according to the US Geological Survey.
In turn, the Saudi Geological Survey said on its website that seismic monitoring stations recorded an earthquake in the middle of the Red Sea, 161 km west of Al-Laith Governorate, in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah area, at exactly 12:09 am on Saturday.
It added that the earthquake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale and was at a depth of about 10.4 km.
