Sudan Events – Agencies
The Iraqi Intelligence Service revealed on Friday that it killed six top ISIS leaders in an operation last month in cooperation with the International Coalition in the Anbar Governorate, 118 km west of Baghdad. The intelligence service stated that the operation, carried out on August 29 in the Anbar desert, confirmed the death of several high-ranking ISIS leaders after DNA results and evidence from the scene were collected. This operation highlights the professionalism of the Iraqi Intelligence Service and its ability to infiltrate ISIS leadership. Despite Iraq declaring ISIS militarily defeated in 2017, the group remains active in the country.
