With a value of $393 million… Egypt declares Sudan the largest importer of its food industries

Egypt announced on Tuesday that 15 countries acquired 62% of the total Egyptian food industry exports during the first 9 months of the year 2023, at a value of $2.412 billion.
Hani Barzi, head of the Export Council for Food Industries in Egypt, placed Sudan at the top of the list of countries that import food industries in Egypt, adding that Sudan is the largest importer of Egyptian food industries with a value of $393 million compared to 149 million dollars, a growth of 164% and an increase of $244 billion, thus acquiring 10% of the sector’s total exports.
