Garnacho Withdraws from Argentina Squad Due to Injury
Alejandro Garnacho, Manchester United winger, has withdrawn from Argentina’s squad for their October World Cup qualifiers due to a knee injury.
According to The Athletic, Garnacho was one of the 27 players selected by Lionel Scaloni for the matches against Venezuela on October 10 and Bolivia five days later. However, the Argentine Football Association confirmed that Garnacho has been excluded from the squad due to discomfort in his left knee.
The 20-year-old player, who scored 10 goals in the 2023-2024 season, played a full 90 minutes in United’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday.
