Liverpool avenges Real Madrid and complicates their situation in the Champions League

Liverpool won 2-0 against Real Madrid on Wednesday evening, in the fifth round of the Champions League group stage.
Liverpool’s goals were scored by Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo in the 52nd and 77th minutes, respectively. With this victory, Liverpool topped the group with 15 points, while Real Madrid’s points were stagnant at 6, placing them 24th.
Liverpool’s Robertson tackled Lucas Vázquez inside the penalty area, causing the latter to fall, resulting in a penalty for Real Madrid in the 58th minute. Mbappé stepped up to take the penalty but was denied by Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Kelleher, who made a stunning save to keep Madrid from equalizing.
