The German Football Association (DFB) announced on Thursday that Dortmund will host Germany’s second-leg clash against Italy in the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals.
According to the German News Agency (DPA), the match is scheduled for March 23, three days after the first leg in Milan, Italy.
Rudi Völler, sporting director of the DFB, said: “Dortmund boasts one of the largest and most atmospheric stadiums in Germany, making it the ideal venue for this football classic.”
He added: “We are determined to reach the UEFA Nations League semifinals for the first time, and we’ll need the support of our fans, which is traditionally fantastic in Dortmund.”
