Napoli coach Antonio Conte said on Friday that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will be available for the Serie A clash against Genoa.
The Georgian player sustained a right knee sprain in the loss to Lazio but has recovered and will be ready for Saturday’s match.
Napoli is in second place with 35 points, two points behind leaders Atalanta. Kvaratskhelia has scored five goals and provided three assists in 15 league matches this season.
Conte told reporters: “Kvara trained with us yesterday and looked more relaxed today. He’s ready, and having him back is important for us.”
Conte emphasized that his team’s recent success is built on strong foundations and hard work, expressing confidence in his players’ ability to improve even after setbacks.
He said: “Shortcuts to success don’t lead to lasting results. To build something of value, you need strong foundations. Great work can shorten the distance, but without those foundations, success won’t last. I always repeat that I trust these players because I see them daily. You can’t always win, but even after setbacks, my players strive to improve.”
Conte expressed confidence in his squad while leaving winter transfer decisions to the club.
He said: “On my part, I have great trust in the players. I can face any challenge with them; they are true men and developing talents, which is evident. I’m very happy about this.”
He added: “I’m very calm, but if great opportunities arise—because you assess many things—and the club decides to make changes, then we’ll see.”
