Manchester United Strengthens Squad with Danish Defender Dørgo, Lecce Star

On Sunday, Manchester United, competing in the English Premier League, announced the signing of Danish left-back Patrick Dørgo from Italian club Lecce, with a contract running until 2030.
British media reported that the transfer fee amounts to €30 million ($31.1 million), plus an additional €5 million in performance-related bonuses.
Dørgo, 20, joined Lecce from Danish club Nordsjælland in 2022, and has played 57 matches for the Italian side.
Dørgo said in a statement: “I can’t wait to work with (United coach) Ruben Amorim. His vision for this team and its future is very exciting.”
He added: “There is a clear plan for my development, and I feel Manchester United is the perfect place to fulfill my potential and achieve my great ambitions.”
Dørgo, who has played four international matches for Denmark, became the second signing for United since Amorim took over as coach in November, replacing Dutch coach Erik ten Hag.
United is currently in 12th place in the Premier League standings, having won only two of their last five domestic league matches.
