On Tuesday, the Sudan Founding Alliance “Ta’sis” announced the ratification of its charter and the formation of a 31-member leadership body headed by Rapid Support Forces militia leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hemedti”, with Sudan People’s Liberation Movement leader Abdelaziz Al-Hilu as his deputy.
The alliance’s spokesperson, Alaa Al-Din Naqd, stated during a press conference held in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur State, that “after extensive consultations, the leadership body of the ‘Ta’sis’ Alliance held a series of meetings marked by transparency and seriousness, during which the alliance’s charter was approved and the leadership body of 31 members was formed.”
He announced the consensus on Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo as President and Abdelaziz Adam Al-Hilu as Deputy, with Alaa Al-Din Awad Naqd named as official spokesperson and Makin Hamid Tirab as rapporteur.
The spokesperson reaffirmed the alliance’s full commitment to engaging with all political, civil, and military organizations resisting what he described as the “old Sudan,” rejecting the war, and supporting a just, comprehensive, and sustainable peace.
He called on all the oppressed, persecuted, and those seeking radical change—both individuals and groups—to rally around the principles and goals of the “Ta’sis” Alliance and join it “to completely dismantle the old Sudan and establish and build the new Sudan.”
