The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the statements and positions issued by friendly and brotherly countries that unequivocally condemned and rejected the illegitimate declaration by the terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and the “Ta’sis” alliance to form what they called a parallel government in Sudan.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry said the issued statements clearly expressed support for the legitimate authority in Sudan and affirmed respect for the country’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. The Ministry emphasized that these countries rejected any illegal steps or actions taken outside the framework of Sudan’s official institutions that threaten its unity and fail to reflect the will of its people.
The statement further noted that all the countries’ declarations affirmed that this move has no legal or political legitimacy, as it stems from an alliance with an outlawed militia that lacks popular or constitutional support.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the supportive stances toward Sudan’s legitimate authority reflect those countries’ adherence to the principles of international law. While expressing its gratitude and appreciation, the Sudanese government said it looks forward to greater cooperation and engagement with these countries on all matters that aim to preserve the unity, stability, and security of Sudan.
