Kikel Vows to Pursue RSF Militia “All the Way to Umm Dafuq”

Abu Aqla Kikel, commander of the Sudan Shield Forces, pledged to pursue the RSF militia all the way to Umm Dafuq, near Sudan’s border with the Central African Republic.

In a video statement, Kikel declared that his forces would remain in Kordofan “and die there,” emphasizing that in wartime, “anything is possible—even death.”

He reminded his troops of the situation just months ago, when the RSF was fighting the Sudanese army in Al-Jazirah State, recalling: “Remember the battles of Umm Qurra, where we lost 170 martyrs. We kept fighting until we defeated the enemy. Now we are in Kordofan, and we will continue on this path, because we are fighting for what is right. We will prevail. And to the mercenaries, I swear our line with you ends at Umm Dafuq.”
Kikel added that his forces never weep for martyrs: “Not a single tear will fall—they are martyrs chosen by God.”
