Militia Suffers New Defeat in El Fasher

The Joint Forces announced that they had successfully repelled a fresh attack launched by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Saturday in El Fasher.

The RSF’s assault, the 225th on El Fasher, was an attempt to seize control of the last stronghold of central government authority in the Darfur region.

In a statement, Joint Forces spokesperson Ahmad Hussein Mustafa said the attack involved troops from the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), led by Abdel Aziz al-Hilu.

The spokesperson pointed out that the Sudanese Army and its allies managed to repel the assault, resulting in the neutralization of dozens of RSF fighters, including the commander of their special forces, a Colombian national. Several combat vehicles were also destroyed and burned.
