
Eyewitnesses reported that Abdulwahid Ishaq, the Imam of the Um Sayala Mosque in North Kordofan, was killed when a four-wheel-drive vehicle belonging to the RSF ran him over.
Media and human rights platforms covering the Kordofan region on social media stated that Ishaq, who was also a high school teacher and a prominent community figure, was tragically killed in the attack.
Several areas in North Kordofan have seen fierce clashes between the Sudanese Army and the RSF, which is accused of widespread violations in a number of villages and towns in the state following its invasion.
