Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, stressed the importance of developing and strengthening Sudan’s foreign relations to serve mutual interests and support the country’s strategic objectives.
He made the remarks on Tuesday while bidding farewell to Sudan’s ambassadors to Mali, Ambassador Khalid Shukri; Zimbabwe, Ambassador Ibrahim al-Sheikh; South Africa, Ambassador Osman Abu Fatima; and Venezuela, Ambassador al-Hadi al-Siddiq.
Sudan’s ambassador to Mali said in a press statement that the ambassadors had received valuable directives from the Sovereignty Council chairman aimed at advancing Sudan’s foreign relations and strengthening prospects for cooperation—particularly in the current circumstances the country is experiencing.
Ambassador Shukri added that these directives were focused on serving Sudan’s and its people’s interests with African neighbors and Latin American states, expressing Sudan’s keenness to bolster ties with these nations.
