News coming from the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State in western Sudan, said that huge military convoys of the forces of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) of Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, and the Sudan Liberation Army Movement (SLAM), of the Governor of Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minawi, were seen today, Thursday, entering North Darfur State, coming from Chad, to support the Sudanese army in El Fasher.
The entry of the forces is based on the recent position announced by the Darfur peace movements that signed an agreement with the government in Juba to end neutrality and enter the battle with the Sudanese army. Observers expected that the upcoming North Darfur battle between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support militia that is besieging the city would be decisive and severe.
