Al-Hilal Reach CECAFA Semifinals as Ahli Madani Exit the Tournament

Sudan’s Al-Hilal have advanced to the semifinals of the East and Central Africa Club Championship (CECAFA) after defeating Kator Juba 3–1 in their final Group C match this afternoon in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

In the same competition, Ahli Madani failed to hold on to their early lead against Somalia’s Mogadishu City, conceding two goals in a match also played this afternoon in Tanzania, which saw them eliminated from the tournament.

Al-Hilal topped Group C after drawing with Mogadishu City and Ahli Madani, before sealing qualification with today’s victory over Kator Juba. Meanwhile, Ahli Madani drew with Kator and Al-Hilal, but their loss to Mogadishu City confirmed their exit.
