Brazil vs. Tunisia Match Puts Real Madrid in Trouble

Brazilian defender Éder Militão of Real Madrid is suffering from a muscle injury, expected to sideline him for two weeks.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid’s concerns were confirmed after Militão got injured while participating in Brazil’s friendly against Tunisia on Tuesday in Lille, France.
The club announced in an official statement that medical examinations revealed an injury to the adductor muscle of his right leg.
Militão will miss Real Madrid’s upcoming La Liga match against Elche on Sunday, with doubts also surrounding defenders Deyvinho Höwsin and Antonio Rüdiger.
Mundo Deportivo reported that Höwsin missed the Spain vs. Turkey match due to muscle pain, while Rüdiger is close to returning after a left thigh injury that kept him out since the second round of La Liga. However, a starting role for the German defender against Elche would be a major surprise.
Real Madrid is now facing a defensive crisis, with only Raúl Asensio and David Alaba fully fit, complicating their task against an Elche team performing well under coach Iñaki Sarabia, having collected 15 points in 12 rounds and remaining unbeaten at home.
Mundo Deportivo concluded that Militão is expected to be sidelined for two weeks, missing the Champions League clash against Olympiacos on Wednesday and the La Liga match against Girona four days later.
