Over 200 Factories Set to Participate in “Made in River Nile” Forum

The city of Atbara will host the “Made in River Nile” Forum in early January, with participation from more than 200 factories and companies operating within the state.
Minister of Investment and Industry, Othman Abdel Rahim Amara, stated that specialized committees have made substantial progress in preparations for the event, which will be attended by high-level federal figures.
Amara explained that the forum aims to showcase the vast industrial and investment potential of the River Nile State, boosted by the preferential incentives it offers to both national and foreign investors.
He highlighted the state’s expansion in manufacturing and food industries, noting that fully developed industrial complexes—such as the Industrial City and Giad Company Complex in Shendi—will be dedicated to such sectors.
He added that the number of participating factories and companies from the state’s seven localities is expected to reach between 200 and 300.
According to the minister, the significant success achieved in localizing industries in the River Nile State has encouraged several other states to seek to replicate its experience.
