AFCON: El Kaabi scores a stunning goal as Morocco defeat Comoros

Morocco opened their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a 2–0 victory over Comoros on Sunday in the opening round of the tournament’s 35th edition.
Playing at Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat and in the presence of the Moroccan Crown Prince, the hosts broke the deadlock in the 55th minute through Brahim Díaz. The goal came after a long ball into the penalty area from Sofyan Amrabat, which was controlled by Noussair Mazraoui before he laid it off to Díaz, who fired a first-time shot past the Comoros goalkeeper.
Morocco doubled their advantage in the 74th minute when Anas Salah Eddine delivered a superb pass to Ayoub El Kaabi, who finished in spectacular fashion with an acrobatic overhead kick into the net.
With the win, Morocco moved to the top of Group A with three points, while Comoros remain without a point.
Mali are set to face Zambia on Monday in the same group.
