Preserving Sudanese Heritage Workshop

The activities of the two-day workshop on protecting and preserving Sudanese heritage kicked off on Tuesday at Gezira Museum in Wad Medani, under the auspices of the state’s Minister of Culture and Information, Al-Hadi Bob.
Advisor and representative of the minister of Culture and information in the state Abid Sayed Ahmed appreciated efforts exerted by the partners to rehabilitate Gezira Museum. He described the partnership between the ministry of culture and Gezira Media, and the Federal Ministry of Culture and UNESCO as fruitful partnership with tangible results and impact.
Abid said at the opening of the workshop that the mechanisms for protecting and preserving Sudanese heritage that museums preserve the cultural heritage of nations, and reflect its civilization, and acknowledge with the creativity of the ancestors, and heritage at any museum, forms an important educational and cultural school to raise awareness with the history and human heritage of the nations , affirming that the ministry will continue its partnerships so that the Gezira Museum is at the highest level for receiving visitors. He praised the role of the security services in preserving heritage. He said that the heritage of any nation, if lost, would not be retrieved and that it should be preserved from loss by all technological means.
