The Netherlands Prints Bergkamp on Currency

The Netherlands has decided to honour one of its football legends by placing an iconic goal for him on a unique currency that will be used in the country.
The Dutch treasury have instructed the Royal Enschede printing company responsible for minting Holland’s currency to produce a unique eight-euro note.
The coins will be printed shows Bergkamp’s famous goal for the Netherlands, against Argentina, in the quarter-finals of the 1998 World Cup.
This “killer” goal, scored by Bergkamp with exceptional skill, eliminated Argentina, and qualified the Netherlands to the semi-finals of the French World Cup.
The Netherlands chose a value of 8 euros, after the number 8 worn by the former star with the Netherlands national team.
