European Champions League: “fiery” confrontation

The draw for the round of 16 in the Champions League competition for the 2023/24 season was held at the headquarters of the European Football Association (UEFA), in the Swiss city of Nyon, on Monday afternoon.
The draw resulted in a number of “fiery” confrontations and others balanced, as the Spanish club Barcelona will play with its Italian counterpart Napoli, and the Spanish club Atletico Madrid will play with its Italian competitor Inter Milan.
While the English club Arsenal will meet with the Portuguese club Porto, the Spanish club Real Sociedad with the French club Paris Saint-Germain, the German club Bayern Munich with the Italian club Lazio, and the German club Borussia Dortmund with the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven.
While the English club Manchester City, the defending champion, will face the Danish club Copenhagen, and the Spanish club Real Madrid, the winner of the competition the most, will face the German club Leipzig.
The first-leg matches of the quarter-finals will be held in February and the return stage in March next year.
